Where to go: Whitmer High School is off Alexis Road, pull onto either Whitmer Drive or the access drive, park in the lot between the high school and the football field and go directly to the field house. No need to check in at the main office. If anyone is asked, we are working with Jamie Clay and he has cleared us as a group.

2013 National Senior Games Cleveland, Ohio Pickleball July 27 – August 1, 2013 – Volunteers Needed
As some of you might already know, Cleveland will be hosting the 13th National Senior Games. The Games, a 19-sport, biennial competition for men and women 50 and over, is the largest multi-sport event in the world for seniors. Pickleball is one of the core sports. Athletes that meet specific criteria while participating in the State Senior Games qualify to participate. I hope someone from Toledo Pickleball made the cut and will be competing in the event.
I was contacted by the Volunteer Coordinator and they are in BIG need of volunteers for Pickleball. It is very easy to sign up and I will be helping for three days at the event. The dates for Pickleball are July 27 through August 1st at the Cleveland Convention Center, E. 6th St. & St. Clair Ave. NE. There are volunteer opportunities throughout the day at many different stations such as athlete check-in, floater/runner and many others.
If you are interested in volunteering for the 2013 National Senior Games please register here: https://2013nsg.theregistrationsystem.com.
If you have questions and would just like to speak someone about the opportunities, please feel free to call Lauren Grys @ 216-479-6361.
This will be an exciting event for Pickleball and I hope several of you will consider helping out and being a part of the fun! If anyone is playing in the event or if you decide to volunteer, please let me know.
See you on the courts!

The event will be Thursday, January 17th from 8:30am-1:30pm.
If you are interested in helping out this year, please contact Connie via email at bucksrgr8r@aol.com, no later than January 15th. Connie will be leading our group and will be putting together all of the details of driving down etc.
Thank you to all who are interested in helping with this. The goal of Toledo Pickleball is grow the sport in the local and surrounding Toledo area as well as introduce it to the younger generation. This opportunity meets both of the goals in a fun way!

Volunteers Needed – Summer PE Classes tomorrow at 10am Rossford Pickleball Complex
Tomorrow is round two with the Summer Physical Education classes. We need volunteers to help Connie at 10 am tomorrow, June 15th at the Rossford courts. There will be 60 high school students attending the session. These are kids from all the local high schools that have chosen to take their PE requirement during the summer so they were able to fit more academic classes into their regular school session.
This is an excellent opportunity to help grow pickleball with the younger generation and we are so glad to be hosting this type of community activity on our courts. If you are available tomorrow, please consider helping Connie out and email her at bucksrgr8r@aol.com to let her know you can help. A big thanks to Connie for leading and setting this up. I hope many of you can adjust your schedules to give her a helping hand.
Thanks in advance to anyone willing to help!
