As much as I hate to cancel play, Connie and I thought it would be wise to cancel tonight. The heat will be soaring over 100 degrees today. We will resume play on Wednesday if the storms they are predicting don’t arrive.
Stay cool today and see you on the courts.
Due to the weather, play will be cancelled this morning. Sunday looks to be a better day with less heat! See you on the courts
I am excited to announce that we now have a few additional play times. Here are the current organized play times to date;
Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday Evenings 5pm-9pm
Thursday mornings 9:30am-12 noon
We hope these times will be a good mix for the group.
For those of you who might be new to the blog, our Pickleball complex is next to the Post Office in Rossford. 313 Glenwood Road Rossford OH. Please feel free to call or email me if you have any questions.
See you on the courts!
Good Morning Everyone!
I can hardly believe I am able to send out this post announcing the court dedication of our 6 court Rossford Pickleball Complex. Al Hager and Tom Wells, over the last 6 days, have done amazing work! They have spent extremely long, HOT days on the courts to finish in such record time!
We will be meeting at the courts this coming Sunday, June 3, 2012 at 12:30pm to dedicate the courts. After the ceremony we will have the awesome opportunity to play on our newly resurfaced courts! We will be inviting news media, city officials and many others to the court dedication. Please feel free to invite anyone you would like as well.
If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to call me. Our Wednesday regularly scheduled play time will be at the Beech Street Courts tomorrow, however this will be the last time we will need to meet there. Thanks to everyone for your patience during the conversion. It is hard to believe that we started working on the courts May 15th and two weeks later we are planning the court dedication!!! So exciting!!
See you on the courts!
I wanted to send out a quick update regarding start times at Laurel Hill. On February 22, 29 and March 5, the start time for drop-in play will begin at 1:30pm rather than the normal 1:00pm start time. The full session will run from 1:30pm-3:30pm on the above mentioned dates. Laurel Hill is hosting a tennis tournament that will be in conflict with our normal time.
Thank you to everyone who has helped and participated in this session!
Enjoy this great “winter” weather!
Just a quick note to let everyone know that pickleball will be canceled tonight because of the rain. We sure do need the rain but unfortunately not good timing for our pickleball play! Hope to see everyone out at the courts tomorrow night at 5:30pm! Marsha
We had our meeting today with Tam-O and it went very well. They are offering drop in times all the way through June 9, 2011.
Mondays 9:30am-12:20pm April 18, 25. May 2,23. June 6
Wednesdays 9:30-12:20pm April 13, 20, 27. May 4, 25. June 1, 8.
Thursdays 9:30am-12:20pm April 28. May 5, 26. June 2, 9.
Saturday 5:00pm- 7:50pm April 23.
The leadership at Tam-O is really trying to work with us and we are planning on offering a Demo Day sometime over the summer to introduce more people to the sport. We also discussed some near future plans for additional court space to accomodate any growth from the demo day. This will be exciting and we will have more news in the near future.
We will also have evening play times in Rossford as soon as the weather permits. It is my hope that we will have enough players to keep the Tam-O morning times full as well as have a great group playing regular evening times in Rossford.
If you have any questions/comments, please don’t hesitate to call or email me.
Take care and enjoy the warmer weather!
